I always love Q&A posts, it really does help you get to know more about the person behind the blog, so I decided to do my own with 4 categories: General life, blogging & instagram, mental health & veganism. These are the main things in my life that I get questions about so I asked over on my instagram for some questions in these categories and I have answered them below!

How old are you?
I am 24 right now, but I'll be 25 on July 16th!

What do you do for work or do you study?
I have a list of things I do for income, I work part time in a high-street clothing store, I have a homemade vegan cake business, I also earn money from my blog and Instagram. As for studying, I am doing an apprenticeship in customer service (Level 2), I'm doing an online course to get a vegan nutritionist diploma and I'm hoping to start another course this year that would help me start up another little business on the side of my others.

How many tattoos & piercings do you have?
I have 7 tattoos and 2 piercings so far, I have my ears and nose pierced and I have tattoos on my ankle, arms, thigh, rib and back of my neck! I want to do a tattoo diary in the future as I have a selection of designs.

Why do you call your grandparents your parents?
Out of respect. My birth parents were the most toxic people you could imagine, neither of them wanted me and they are honestly the reason for my mental health issues. My parents adopted me when I was a baby, they raised me, they helped me through the trauma I endured and they loved me through everything. They are my parents, not the people who "made" me.

How long have you been on instagram?
My account _daisyhudson was created on 17th September 2019, but I have had various instagram accounts over the years from 2011 personal to public ones that no longer exist. I wanted to have a fresh start with my new Instagram, one for me but also my blogging and I've never been happier with my Instagram it doesn't give me any stress and it was the best decision I could have made!

Why did you start blogging?
I have always read blogs and I really love the community, some of my favourite people are bloggers and I really wanted to be a part of something like that. I thought I could offer something to the community as well because I want to talk about taboo subjects and get very honest with anyone who decides to read my blog! I also find a sense of comfort in it, to me its relaxing spending a few hours writing a post with Netflix on in the background so it's my form of self care.

Who was the first brand you ever worked with?
It must have been back in 2014, I worked with Ten Acre Crisps for an gifted instagram post and I was over the moon, it's something I'll never forget. They sent me a huge box of crisps and to this day they are still my favourite vegan crisp brand.

What is your biggest achievement so far in your Blogging/Instagram career?
I would have to say being featured in Simply Vegan Magazine (July 2019), I have 3 copies at home because I was just so proud of myself and really want to display it properly when I get a chance. I spent a full week off from work writing the piece and it's definitely my biggest achievement so far.

What mental health conditions do you have?
I have been diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder, I have had problems with suicidal tendencies in the past as well as struggling with abandonment issues.

Have you ever been to therapy?
Yes I have, I went to CAHMS as a child and being honest they were completely useless, I got myself discharged because they honestly weren't helping me in the slightest. I also went in 2017 after my diagnosis of ptsd to a different mental health organisation and they helped me a bit, but I was discharged only because I wasn't at risk of harming myself. I am looking into private therapy because I have a lot of issues that I need to work through so I truly can live my life to the fullest and let myself be truly happy.

Are you or have you ever been on anti-depressants?
Yes, I have been on two different types Citalopram when I first turned 18 and Mirtazapine when I was nearly 19 because of my suicidal thoughts and I have been on Mirtazapine ever since. It did help with the thoughts I was having but I wouldn't say it cured me, it did help me see that there is light in the world though and life can be pretty amazing if you let yourself live it,

Have you ever harmed yourself?
Yes, I hate the fact that I ever hurt myself because it really makes me sad but I did start hurting myself when I was 15, nobody ever knew because I wore jumpers all throughout the year and I found ways to do first aid on myself if I needed too. It was my coping mechanism when I didn't think I had anyone who would understand like some people drink or smoke. I have been clean from harming myself for 5 years now but I still think about it often.

How long have you been Vegetarian/Vegan?
I was Vegetarian from 1999, I was 4 years old and I decided that I didn't want to eat meat anymore and Mum and Dad were fine with it! I have officially been Vegan since August 10th 2018 and I couldn't ever see myself going back to Vegetarian or anything, I love being Vegan so much.

Is it true that Vegans are healthy because they're Vegan?
No, when I turned Vegan I wasn't healthy at all, I was trying all the new and exciting foods, new desserts everything. I think I gained weight after going Vegan but I did lose that after a while when I got back into a routine. There's so many amazing Vegan junk foods that it's actually impossible to be 100% healthy. I'd say I'm at a 60-70% balance of healthy foods to unhealthy foods, how can I say no to new Vegan releases like Galaxy bars? I mean you've got to try them... right?

Do you have to take supplements to get vitamins you'd usually get from a non Vegan lifestyle?
I do take supplements yes, I take B12, Creatine and Vegan supplements from Holland & Barrett. A friend of mine who's a non Vegan informed me of some supplements that I should be taking and I've added them into my daily routine. I would suggest people going into a Vegan lifestyle should research what supplements would help their journey!

Do you find it difficult to eat out as a Vegan?
I don't, most places now days do have at least one Vegan meal on their menu, I know my go-to restaurants but when it comes to going out with work or friends I don't panic anymore because even in my small town, 90% of the restaurants have more than one meal I could eat or change so that I could eat it!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and if there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to leave a comment below and I'll get back to you ASAP!
